The idea that there are invisible realities inhabited by intelligent entities that cannot be detected by any empirical means but can be perceived only by people who are in altered states of brain chemistry is difficult to reconcile with a modern scientific worldview.

Well, that’s an understatement.  Interesting, though.  This paper is about the weird result of DMT studies.  About half of the participants reported seeing intelligent beings, and “about half” is just the kind of number which compelled me to do further research.  Even if you strip this study down with a perceived rational perspective, it’s still interesting to theorize that the natural release of DMT in the human brain might be responsible for some reported alien abductions.

I don’t know if it’s related, but just the other night I got abducted by Andy Warhol.  He stuffed me into a soup can and laughed as he closed the lid.  I could then hear him screaming, “No one will ever find you because all the cans look the same!”
